  : Since injury such as scalding could be caused by escaping steam or coolant, do not remove the filler cap from the coolant expansion tank while the system is hot.

  : Engine coolant will damage the paint finished surfaces. If spilt, immediately remove the coolant and clean the area with water.

  Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.

  : Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

. Drain the cooling system.

. Remove the viscous fan assembly.

. Remove the radiator grille.

. Remove the lower fan shroud.
  Release the 4 clips.
  Release the coolant hose.




. Disconnect the coolant expansion tank hose.
  Release the clip.

. Disconnect the radiator upper hose.
  Release the clip.

  : Always plug any open connections to prevent contamination.

:
  Some fluid spillage is inevitable during this operation.

Disconnect the transmission cooler hoses.
  Release the 2 clips.
  Position a container to collect the fluid.




. Remove the radiator securing pegs.

. Remove the radiator upper deflector.
  Release the 2 clips.




. Release the power steering fluid cooler.
  Release the clips.
  Tie the line aside.

. Release the front differential breather line.



. Release the A/C condenser.
  Remove the 2 screws.
  Remove the bolt.
  Release from the 2 clips.




. Remove the radiator.
  Protect the elements from damage.
  Remove the 2 radiator retaining bolts.

  Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Remove the power steering fluid cooler line clip.

. Install the power steering fluid cooler line clip.

. Install the radiator.
  Remove the element protection.
  Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb.ft).

. Install the radiator upper deflector.

. Install the A/C condenser.
  Secure in the clips.
  Tighten the screws.
  Tighten the bolt to 6 Nm (4 lb.ft).

. Install the power steering fluid cooler.
  Secure in the 3 clips.

. Install the radiator securing pegs.

. Install the transmission cooler hoses.
  Install the clips.

. Connect the radiator upper hose.
  Secure with the clip.

. Connect the expansion tank hose.
  Secure with the clip.

. Install the lower fan shroud.
  Secure in the clips.
  Secure the coolant hose.

. Install the radiator grille.

. Install the viscous fan assembly.

. Refill the cooling system.

. Connect the battery ground cable.

. Check automatic transmission fluid level.
